The Truth About Celebrity Wine

Six bottles. Six famous faces on the label. Zero clues in the glass. We stripped the branding off a lineup of wines made, backed or licensed by household-name celebrities and tasted the lot blind, because the whole point of a celebrity wine is the name — and we took the name away.

The spread is wild: two of the six sit in the ordinary $21.99–$24.99 bracket you’d grab without thinking, while another costs more than most people spend on wine in a year. There’s sparkling, there’s rosé, there’s red, and there’s one bottle with an augmented-reality label that genuinely stops the tasting dead. The question on the table the whole way through: which of these are real wines from people who actually care, and which are a logo slapped on a tank sample?
