One magnum, a backyard hangout, and a group of new wine collectors.

Mark Dietz brought a magnum of 1990 Rockfordโ€™s Home Block to a mateโ€™s place where nobody drank wine. By the end of the night, even the girl drinking vodka cruisers was in disbelief, and years later, several of those same friends now collect
wine because of it.

Itโ€™s the same instinct thatโ€™s carried through everything since, from opening a Barolo for a mate for the first time to cracking a $1,400 Gaja without telling anyone the price. For Mark, the value was never really the point.
