Wines of this caliber are worth a special effort to find, purchase and consume.
90 – 95: An outstanding wine of exceptional complexity and character. In short, these are terrific wines.
80 – 89: A barely above average to very good wine displaying various degrees of finesse and flavor as well as character with no noticeable flaws.
70 – 79: An average wine with little distinction except that it is soundly made. In essence, a straightforward, innocuous wine.
60 – 69: A below-average wine containing noticeable deficiencies, such as excessive acidity and/or tannin, an absence of flavor or possibly dirty aromas or flavors.
50 – 59: A wine deemed to be unacceptable.

Red wine is best consumed at room temperature – right? WRONG! This is one of the most common wine myths that still needs to be busted.
Too many restaurants, bars, and people at home serve red wine at ambient temperature, which might be the right call in a draughty castle during a Swedish winter, but it clearly isn’t on a hot summer day.
I mean, if you enjoy drinking your Amarone at 24°C (75°F), feel free to do so—but maybe try putting it in the fridge or your wine cabinet to bring the temperature down to around 16°C (61°F).
As the wine temperature drops, the acidity and tannins become more pronounced, while the perception of fruit flavors and alcohol decreases.
Every red wine should be consumed slightly chilled (usually between 16°C and 18°C), but some red wines are made to be enjoyed at even cooler temperatures on a sunny summer day. Those are the wines we’ll be looking at today.
My team selected some red wines that are too cool for school—or rather, so cool they can be served chilled.

Check out Cellar Class to take your wine knowledge to the next level: https://www.cellarclass.com/ Learn from a Master of Wine […]

[1

post-2773","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized
<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v17.6 -
