If you love to eat, this city in China is a food paradise, from bustling outdoor markets, to the Muslim quarter, and never ending chili oil, we\u2019re about to taste some of the best Chinese food that Xi\u2019an has to offer. <\/p>\n<p>Xiaonanmen Morning Market (\u5c0f\u5357\u95e8\u5e02\u573a) &#8211; We\u2019re staring in the morning along the Wall of Xi\u2019an at Xiaonanmen Morning Market. Here you\u2019ll find a plethora of street food and colorful ingredients. We tried the spicy tofu bean curd &#8211; 3 RMB ($0.43), the very popular Xi&#8217;an pork burger (\u8098\u5b50\u5939\u998d) &#8211; 10 RMB ($1.43), sticky rice dessert (Zeng Gao (\u7511\u7cd5) &#8211; 6 RMB ($0.86), and finally fried vegetable pocket (\u83dc\u5408).<\/p>\n<p>Luzhi Liangfen (\u8001\u4f55\u5bb6\u5364\u6c41\u51c9\u7c89) &#8211; Next up we\u2019re continuing this Chinese street food tour in the Muslim Quarter of Xi\u2019an and trying a very unique dish of bean jelly noodles &#8211; Price &#8211; 17 RMB ($2.42).<\/p>\n<p>Lao Jiajia Pepper Soup (\u8001\u8d3e\u5bb6\u80e1\u8fa3\u6c64) &#8211; Although it doesn\u2019t look like much, hulatang (\u80e1\u8fa3\u6c64) &#8211; hot pepper soup, is extremely flavorful and this is one of the best bowls in Xi\u2019an. <\/p>\n<p>Liuxinniu Mutton Soup (\u5218\u4fe1\u725b\u7f8a\u8089\u6ce1\u998d) &#8211; You can\u2019t visit Xi\u2019an without trying Yangrou Paomo (\u7f8a\u8089\u6ce1\u998d) &#8211; a lamb and flatbread soup that\u2019s cooked over a rocket jet flame. This dish truly shows the diversity and cultural crossroads &#8211; at the beginning of the Silk Road &#8211; that Xi\u2019an is! Price &#8211; 28 RMB ($3.99)<\/p>\n<p>Ma&#8217;er Youzhi Suantang Dumplings (\u9a6c\u4e8c\u4f18\u8d28\u9178\u6c64\u6c34\u997a) &#8211; Next door you&#8217;ll find a dumpling jacuzzi where you can enjoy some of the best sour soup dumplings you\u2019ll ever have in your life. Price &#8211; 16 RMB ($2.28) <\/p>\n<p>Liuxiang Noodle Restaurant (\u67f3\u5df7\u9762) &#8211; Next up on this Chinese food tour, we headed to this legendary restaurant for hand pulled noodles known as Gungun noodles. This was one of the best bowls of noodles I\u2019ve had in a long time. Price &#8211; 22 RMB ($3.14) <\/p>\n<p>Zhubashi Wangjiao BBQ (\u7af9\u7b06\u5e02\u65fa\u89d2\u70e4\u8089) &#8211; Finally, another famous food in Xi\u2019an, China is cumin lamb bbq, and as they grill it, they sprinkle it with cumin and chili pepper &#8211; it\u2019s some of the best lamb ever.
